About St Ninian's

St Ninian’s is a community church with God’s love at its heart.
We work hard to be a place where everyone is welcomed and all find a place to belong and grow.
We like questions, welcome doubts and value imagination.
We take the Bible seriously.  So seriously that we want to read it properly, as history, law, prophecy, letters, poetry and biography, all of it inspired by God to help us understand more about God’s love for all of us.

Meeting together is important.  We meet together often, whether it is on Sundays for worship and for Sunday School, during the week for Morning Prayers, at the Tuesday Coffee Morning, for Boys’ Brigade and Girls’ Brigade, to learn more about the Bible, or to donate to the food bank…  We meet in person and online.

St Ninian’s is a Local Ecumenical Parish (LEP). That means our church is a partnership between the Church of Scotland and the United Reformed Church bringing the traditions and resources of both denominations to serve the people of Stonehouse.  The LEP was formed when St Ninian’s Parish Church and Stonehouse United Reformed Church joined together.
